We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Junior Automation Tester to join our team within the Planning department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software. You will assist in designing, executing, and automating pr functionally executing test suites for APIs and user interfaces, working under the guidance of senior testers and collaborating with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

API Testing:

  • Assist in designing and executing test cases for RESTful APIs, focusing on functional, integration, and basic performance testing

  • Learn to analyze API documentation to understand expected behaviors and outcomes

  • Support in identifying and logging defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)

  • Collaborate with senior testers and developers to troubleshoot issues

Test Planning and Execution:

  • Review user requirements and design documents to help create test cases

  • Execute functional UI and API tests based on predefined test plans under supervision

  • Assist in system, SIT, E2E, UAT and regression testing activities

  • Support the development of use/test cases from user stories

Automation Testing:

  • Learn to create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Playwright, Selenium, or Postman

  • Collaborate with the team to integrate scripts into the CI/CD pipeline

  • Apply automation best practices to improve test coverage

Defect Management:

  • Log and track defects accurately using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps

  • Work closely with team members to resolve identified issues

Testing Standards:

  • Follow established testing guidelines and methodologies

  • Maintain organized documentation for test cases, execution results, and processes

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in UAT sessions, observing and supporting as needed

  • Perform basic exploratory, performance, and browser compatibility tests

  • Contribute to reporting key metrics and providing regular updates on testing progress

Vereisten

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Java or JavaScript (Python or Ruby is a plus)

  • Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Postman

  • Basic understanding of APIs and testing platforms

  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Bitbucket or AzureDevOps (training will be provided)

  • Familiarity with test management tools like Jira or XRay is advantageous

Agile Experience:

  • Awareness of agile environments and testing methodologies

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn

  • Ability to identify and analyze issues logically with support from senior team members

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Eager to learn and work in a team-oriented environment

  • Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for assigned tasks

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or relevant experience)

  • Prior exposure to testing (e.g., internships, academic projects, or 1-2 years of experience in QA) is preferred
