As a Technical Architect Integration Services you are responsible for supporting future evolutions of the different integration technologies both for existing technologies and new to come technologies within Integration Services.

You are responsible for researching, suggesting, planning, improving and participating in the different internal processes. An important internal process is the approval process for the Architectural Center of Excellence (ACE).

Defining the future Integration Services building blocks for business projects and enhancements on already existing building blocks (by modifying building blocks and maintaining roadmaps).

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Provide technical leadership and insights for the technologies that have been identified / required as part of a solution (to Solution Architects)

  • Have a hands-on approach applying IT best practices and architectural standards to follow

  • Provide expertise in the Integration domain

  • Maintain roadmap for product components as per Integration technology as well as an overall Integration approach and vision

  • Working closely with our external partner(s)

  • Validate and provide feedback on detailed designs

  • Document using Adoit (Archimate) following the defined metamodel

  • Translate application requirements into Integration services

  • Elaborate roadmaps and business cases

  • Strong collaboration with the Integration Services team

Job requirements

  • Master degree or equivalent through experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as Technical Architect

  • Good knowledge of English and Dutch or French (preferably with at least a passive knowledge of the second language)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of

    • Different integration technologies (MQ, Publish/Subscribe, Rest API, …)

    • Security/privacy best practices on infrastructure, network, applications and data

    • Integration technologies on Cloud.

  • Some knowledge of Azure automation (Terraform), infrastructure as code, consumption & licensing is a plus

  • Some knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus

  • Ability to understand and apply the long-term ("Big Picture") vision and tactical needs

  • Customer oriented, team player, security minded

  • Excellent analytical and technical skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, good facilitating and negotiating skills

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • You have experience working together with (offshore) Service Providers
