Job description
The SAP Release and Cutover Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating SAP releases and innovation initiatives within the organization. This role includes planning, executing, and overseeing release processes, as well as identifying and implementing innovative SAP solutions that enhance business processes, increase efficiency, and provide competitive advantage.
Main Activities
Release Management: Planning, coordinating, and executing SAP release schedules, including managing version control and ensuring the integrity of SAP environments throughout the release process.
Innovation Management: Identifying, evaluating, and implementing new SAP features, technologies, and innovations that can improve business operations. Collaborating with stakeholders to identify needs and propose technological solutions.
Stakeholder Management: Serving as the primary point of contact for all matters related to SAP releases and innovation projects. Ensuring clear communication and collaboration between IT teams, business users, and external partners.
Risk Management: Identifying and managing risks associated with SAP releases and innovation initiatives. Implementing strategies to minimize risks and ensure business continuity.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and stability of SAP releases through rigorous testing procedures and validation processes.
Communication: Communicating and consulting with all relevant parties to create buy-in and actively bridge the gap between IT and business. Communicating existing needs, potential blind spots, and improvement opportunities.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with SAP systems, including knowledge of SAP module configuration, ABAP programming, release management, and upgrade processes.
- Good knowledge of SAP ABAP to perform quality control of delivered code. Knowledge of SAP Fiori is a plus.
- Experience with project management and agile development methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the latest SAP technologies and innovations.
- Ability to think strategically and drive innovation within the organization.
