Job description

As a Business/Functional Analyst at Ypto, you will be integral to the digital transformation of SNCB, bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to capture, analyse, and translate business requirements into functional solutions that meet client expectations. Additionally, you will lead workshops, mentor junior analysts, and ensure the quality of the delivered products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture, prioritize, and translate business requirements into functional requirements using techniques like MOSCOW or WSJF.
  • Analyse and model business processes (BPMN or similar methodologies), suggest improvements, and create clear, actionable functional specifications.
  • Lead business and functional requirements workshops in an agile environment.
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation through clear and concise communication with stakeholders, both onshore and offshore.
  • Conduct quality assurance by performing tests and validations to ensure the final product meets the client's requirements.
  • Support the implementation of solutions and provide ongoing communication and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior analysts and lead a small team of analysts, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Job requirements

  • A degree in computer science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in functional/business analysis
  • Proficiency in BPMN and/or UML, with strong knowledge of real estate and building management applications
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in Dutch and/or French
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence is a plus
